Our Vision

Loc'd Not Bound exists to strengthen and elevate loc culture. We help people discover the resources they need to support every stage of their loc journey.

Our Mission

To be the most trusted resource for the loc community by bridging the gap between locticians, clients, and the businesses that serve them

Our Story

The loc journey doesn’t come with a handbook. It comes with questions, trial and error, and a quiet need for guidance. When I began my own loc journey, I quickly realized how much information was missing about identity, care, and confidence. Too often, people were navigating deeply personal decisions without access to clear, trusted support. Loc’d Not Bound was created to fill the gap in knowledge, conversation, and community. What began as a personal documentary has grown into a trusted resource for people with locs and the professionals who serve them. Today we are a thriving social community of over 55,000 where experiences are shared, questions are welcomed, and meaningful connections are made. My background in people strategy, education, and community building shapes how I approach this platform. Rooted in lived experience and fueled by purpose, I bring intention and structure to the work of elevating loc culture and creating accessible systems of knowledge and care. Thank you for being here, and for being part of this journey. Angélique Founder, Loc'd Not Bound
